Year 12 Chemistry Independent Projects

Year 12 Chemistry

Our Year 12 chemists are finalising their independent projects today where they were required to complete a six-week research task. Today they are completing their major experiments.

Some experiments currently underway include:

  • Caitlin Heigle: Effect of different cooking methods on the iron content of kale
  • Lauren Booth: Speed of dissolution of different brands of paracetamol in the stomach
  • Ashlyn Radford: Sensitivity of luminol luminescence to blood concentration
  • Hayley Browne: Effect of water hardness on critical micelle concentration and foaming of surfactants
  • Lily Alexander: Effect of leaf age on the types and concentrations of pigments in Photinia leaves

Good luck girls!
