We congratulate the Da Vinci Competition team members who competed yesterday in the Elite Da Vinci competition at Knox Grammar School in Sydney. The competition was incredibly competitive, there were 1300 students from the best schools in Sydney and the surrounding area! Both the Year 9 and Year 10 teams worked incredibly hard and achieved good results, however as you can imagine with so many top grammar and selective schools it’s very difficult to even reach the top 25%. However, the Year 10 Engineering team led by Lauren Kemp beat every school and achieved first place with their working model of a water wheel that both generates power and cleans up rubbish.
We are extremely proud of all the students – they represented Merici College with enthusiasm, dedication and honour.
