On Tuesday 14 December, Merici College staff participating in their annual Spirituality Day. The theme for this year was
“Be still, and Know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10)
Be Still and Know. Be Still. Be.
The Morning Plenary was facilitated by Fr Emil and focussed on Christian Meditation. Staff then broke into groups to participate in workshops “Spirituality Through …. Art, Music (Drumming) and Scripture. Afternoon sessions focussed on community and service and included the creation of a reflection video, helping out Home in Queanbeyan and cooking for a local charity.
We thoroughly enjoyed the day and would like to thank Maddi Green, our Youth Minister for all her hard work in organising all the sessions. We would also like to thank our visiting presenters Patrick McGrath, Dan Graetz and Katrina Cambridge for their involvement and making our day such a success.
The afternoon finishes off with a very special farewell afternoon tea for long-service staff members Corinne Preston, Laura Pearce, Liza Laird, Vicki Meyers and Laura Sheehan. We wish them all the very best for their future and thank them for all their dedication and commitment to the life of Merici.
