Merici College Showcase 2018

Natasha Silver, Year 12 student proudly displays her art work.

Our 2018 Showcase is a celebration of the artistic gifts and talents of all our students. The subjects highlighted in the exhibition are Dance, Photography, Visual Arts, Fashion and Drama. The ‘Arts’ consists of visual and performing arts and the students presented a very professional and entertaining program. Students from Year 7-12 modelled their designs in Fashion and Textilesand the Merici College Dance Troupe performed five wonderful routines that showcase their diversity. The Choir were outstanding as they performed a vocal piece. Throughout the week, the exhibition is open and has on display our students beautiful art and photographic work.

We would like to thank all the staff involved in making this exhibition a success. In particular Laura Pearce, Expressive Arts Coordinator and her team of teachers: Liz Igoe-Taylor, Jennifer Wright, Trish Young, Virginia McLeod and Clare Freeman, and Corinne Preston, Global Studies Coordinator and team member Sue Paton. Thanks also goes to Trent Cannell and his maintenance team, Tookie Capezio and Trish Young and the catering team for the refreshments and Ros Parisi for marketing. And special thanks to Susan Anderson as she has been instrumental in setting the displays, as well as working behind the scenes for the fashion parade.
