Jessica Lauc, winner of the CPA National Business Plan Competition and designer of the "LEADZ" dog band

We congratulate Jessica Lauc, Year 12 student, on winning the National CPA Business Plan Competition in Melbourne. Jessica presented her business plan on the "LEADZ" band, to a panel of judges including the Director of CPA Australia and the National Coordinator of Business Educators. The "LEADZ" band is a very innovative design of a dog band that contains two compartments: one for dog treats; and the other for tidy bags or any other small items such as car keys, on either side of the band. Jessica was inspired to design the band by her family dog, Archie Lauc!

The observation supports more opportunity for girls and increases awareness of gender inequality faced by girls worldwide based upon their gender. This inequality includes areas such as access to education, nutrition, legal rights, medical care, and protection from discrimination, violence against women and unfree child marriage.

Memories@Merici with Tam Huynh (Class of 2002)

A reflection from Tam Huynh, Class of 2002

I have fond memories of my time at Merici College and made lifelong friends during my years there. It is hard to believe that it has been nearly 15 years since graduating from Merici, but sharing milestone life events with those friends makes it hard to believe that more time hasn’t elapsed.
