Memories@Merici with Nicolette Marks, Class of 2008
Submitted by mericiadmin on June 2, 2017 - 11:58amUp, Close and Personal with Nicolette Marks
I graduated from Merici in 2008. The values I developed over the six years I attended Merici set me on an incredible path, which exceeded all my expectations. I gained multiple academic qualifications, I studied in Iceland and New Zealand, I was the only Aussie involved in world first research in Antarctica and I have travelled to almost 80 countries. I love exploring and globetrotting, but the strong sense of loyalty and pride Merici instilled in me, always draws me back to Canberra, to my family and community
Merici's Year 10 Engineering Team wins Da Vinci Decathlon!
Submitted by mericiadmin on May 25, 2017 - 2:05pmWe congratulate the Da Vinci Competition team members who competed yesterday in the Elite Da Vinci competition at Knox Grammar School in Sydney. The competition was incredibly competitive, there were 1300 students from the best schools in Sydney and the surrounding area! Both the Year 9 and Year 10 teams worked incredibly hard and achieved good results, however as you can imagine with so many top grammar and selective schools it’s very difficult to even reach the top 25%.

DID YOU KNOW …
FOR HEATING SYSTEMS TO REACH THEIR MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY, THEY SHOULD BE SET BETWEEN 19 AND 23 DEGREES.
As the Canberra chill starts to set up, keep this in mind (for your pockets, the planet and your comfort).

Mother's Day Prayer and Breakfast
Submitted by mericiadmin on May 15, 2017 - 2:02pmOn the morning of Monday 15 May, our College was honoured by the presence of the mothers and grandmothers of our girls. It was a wonderful opportunity for our community to celebrate Mothers’ Day with a very special Prayer and Breakfast. We were overwhelmed by the number of mums and grandmas who arrived at school with their daughters and grand-daughters. Throughout the liturgy, students wrote messages of thanks, appreciation and love to their mums and grand-mothers; recognising the important role they play in their lives.
