Good afternoon students and staff. This year Bronte and I will share our own individual reflections as we have both gained so much out of the year individually and together.

“As Drake once said, “I’m way up, I feel blessed”, and it’s true, we have been truly blessed.
Our school community farewelled our Year 12 students today at a very moving assembly. The assembly commenced with our "little sisters" (Year 7s) singing 'Standing on the Shoulders' to the Year 12 students - it was a wonderfully inspiring performance! The assembly also presented the opportunity to award Gold, Red and Blue Angel Wings to senior students for the completion of Christian Service hours. In addition, Balgo House was awarded the College Cup for 2018 recognising the House's outstanding performance and effort thoughtout the year.

We would like to thank our Dance Troupe who have been very busy in the last few weekends performing at various events. On Saturday the girls performed at Marymead's Annual Fair and St Joseph's O'Connor Fete.

The annual Merici College Sports Awards presentation night was held on Thursday 1 November. Throughout 2018 many of our students have taken up sporting opportunities offered at Merici. Merici competes in up to 50 interschool events throughout the year with students displaying their talents in several of these of sports. We also have several co-curricular sporting teams, Netball, Basketball, Volleyball, AFL, Hockey, Futsal and Snow Sports that compete in ACT and NSW weekend competitions.
Lots of wonderful activities organised for our Year 7 2019 students; badge making, photo naming, treasure huhnts, healthy activity, bike-riding, House friendship activities and lots more. We hope the students have enjoyed their day and we look forward to seeing them at Merici next year!

The performance of Antigone on Tuesday 30 October was such a wonderful successful. The girls showed dedication and commitment to the process of developing a theatre performance collaboratively. They rose to the challenge and faced many obstacles along the way.
