2021 Creative and Performing Arts Showcase

Henry Matisse said "Creativity takes courage". This year at our Showcase, we see the hard evidence that we have courageously creative students at Merici College. Aren't we privileged to bear witness to this fact this year! I am constantly impressed by the innovative, individual and powerful talent of the media makers, artists, designers, actors, dancers, dramatists, photographers, graphic artists, instrumentalists and vocalists here at Merici.

Merici College Green Tip #17 - World Ocean Day

The United Nations celebrates World Ocean Day on June 8.

This year’s theme, The Ocean: Life & Livelihoods, highlights the wonder of the ocean and how it is our life source, supporting humanity and every other organism on earth.

While critically important to humanity and all species, oceans are also fragile.

Oceans are an asset we must look after for the sake of all life and livelihoods.

Merici College Green Tip #16 - United Nations World Environment Day and World Bicycle Day this week

Thursday June 3rd is World Bicycle Day and Saturday June 5th is World Environment Day.

World Bicycle Day celebrates the exhilaration of cycling and aims to bring awareness about road safety for cyclists as well as to how cycling benefits the environment.

You can travel by bicycle on either or both United Nations observed days, or any day to reduce your environmental impact and support the goals of World Environment Day.

Consider taking a bike as your daily mode of transportation.

St Angela Merici Day and Christian Service Awards

The celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Angela Merici was an important celebration in recognition of our Patron Saint Angela Merici, our Founding Orders and our College Houses.  The day commenced with a very special Mass. Fr Emil presented an inspirational homily, recognising the love and unity of the community of Merici College.
