Principal’s Blog - Merici Phone Usage
I have spoken to a few parents recently about some of the options available for limiting and monitoring phone usage. While there are a number of apps on the market, the following have received positive reviews from Merici parents.
This week, I wanted to share the powerful image displayed to remind us all of WHY we need to act with sustainability in mind.

We congratulate Monique Lawrence (Year 12) who recently competed in the 2019 Singapore National Figure Skating Championships and was awarded Gold in the Advanced Novice Ladies category.
The Singapore National Figure Skating Championships are held in Jurong, Singapore and this year there were 139 competitors from over 13 countries. Monique competed against eight skaters from Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.

Parent-Student-Teacher Interviews - Online Bookings open Tuesday 2 April
Parent-Teacher-Student interviews will be held in Semester 1 on Tuesday, 9 April and Thursday, 11 April 2019 from 4:00pm – 6:30pm in the Auditorium. Each interview has an allocated 6 minutes timeslot. If you need to speak to a teacher on a more in- depth basis, please contact the teacher directly.
We congratulate Reagan Minchin (Class of 2018) on her results at the recent Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi.
Earth Hour is this Saturday, 30 March.
At school, it will be this Friday, 29 March.

World Down Syndrome Day was in established in 2012 when the United Nations General Assembly decided that it would be celebrated on 21 March each year. Lots of Socks is a Down Syndrome International campaign aimed at creating conversation and bring awareness of Down syndrome on 21 March, World Down Syndrome Day, each year. The idea behind the Lots of Socks initiative is to create conversation about diversity, uniqueness, inclusion and acceptance.
