Today, our Year 10 students were privileged to welcome Merici alumna and ACT Australian of the Year, Dr Rose McGready, along with fellow Merici alumna Helen Shephard, (Class of 1981). Rose shared her remarkable journey from Merici student to internationally recognised doctor, researcher and humanitarian, dedicating more than 30 years to improving healthcare for women and children along the Thailand–Myanmar border. 

Congratulations to Emily O'Mahoney, Class of 2022 who has have been given the very exciting opportunity to stage a play she has written at the Canberra Theatre Centre Courtyard Studio.

Congratulations Professor Rose McGready who has been awarded 2026 Australian of the Year for ACT.

A dedicated and high‑achieving student, Lucy is recognised as the Runner‑Up Dux of the College, reflecting her strong academic performance across her BSSS tertiary package, with a particular focus on English and the Humanities.

Ishita is a student of exceptional talent and commitment, reflecting her outstanding academic achievement across all subjects.
