It was a pleasure welcoming students and staff from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College in Wadeye, Northern Territory during this week. On Monday the students spent a day at Merici attending classes and participated in an AFL game at lunch time. On Wednesday our students; Lily Coleman, Eleanor Coleman and Genevieve Sandeman spent a rewarding morning at Tidbinbilla with the Wadeye students and Marist. The students spent time with two of the Indigenous Rangers learning about the local plants, wildlife and traditional artifacts of the Ngunnawal people. One of the highlights for our students and the Wadeye group was the koala sanctuary, watching the antics of the young joey and his mum. A shared lunch and hike, talking and making connections with our friends from the Northern Territory was enjoyed in beautiful Canberra sunshine.
