Merici College is excited to be launching a mentoring program to help our senior students as they adjust to the remote learning situation. A call went out to our alumni who graduated between 2012 and 2018, asking for volunteers. We are so proud and grateful that over 150 recent graduates have responded in just two days.
During this time of physical distance, it's important for us all to stay socially and academically connected. Every single senior student at Merici will be assigned a former student who will work with them throughout Term 2.
Merici College students and teachers are still embracing their House spirit from home. Check out the unique style and techniques of some of our virtual athletics champions! #mericiathleticscarnival #mericisport
Each year at Merici College, many of our students such as our Angela's Angels (Merici Youth Ministry), Junior Drama, Student Leaders and Dance present a powerful Easter liturgy to our community, reflecting on the significance of Jesus' life, death and resurrection through important events in Holy Week, including the Stations of the Cross. In our world today there is much suffering and we focus on Easter as a period of encouragement and hope during these uncertain times.
Something to look at on the holidays.......

Happy Holidays! Stay safe.
Today we celebrate Tullow House Day! We have been chatting with the students of Tullow House during online Pastoral Care. Many of the girls dressed in our House colour, green. We participated in a quiz testing their knowledge of the history of Tullow House and the staff members within the House. The girls had great fun in their scavenger hunt, retrieving green objects from around their home and garden. Some of the girls found balloons, green feathered boa, cuddly toys, vegetables, herbs, the list goes on. Many of the girls made ‘green’ cakes and desserts to share with their families!
I chose IB because I've always been interested in doing new classes, and IB is very different from the structure I'm used to. I hope the IB DP challenges me because I want to expand my horizons. For me, the IB is a new pathway that I can use to better myself and be a well rounded person. Preashika Dhakal, Year 11
Please see the below attached PDF to find the new timetables that will start at the beginning of Term 2.
Our focus is on continuity of learning (not assessments, although there will still be assessments).
Our priority is on creating a sense of belonging and community even though we may be apart, hence Pastoral Care still plays a very important part in our daily routine.
Dear Parents and Carers
Yesterday I sent two emails to your daughters:
Email One (see below) - is a summary of what is planned for the next few weeks and to give all students a sense of control over what is happening.
