Following on from Merici College being awarded the ACT Sustainable School of the Year, I was asked to launch a children's book on the weekend.
This week's tip is based on the information I presented at the launch on ocean's, sea life and plastics. I was also asked to speak about what we are doing here at Merici and the room erupted into applause at the conclusion. People spoke to me afterwards and are impressed with what we do here!
On Monday 2 March, the Merici College school community celebrated the academic achievements of students in Semester 2, 2019 with over 190 students receiving awards that highlight their effort and joy of learning.
Mrs Wholley welcomed all parents, carers and students to the ceremony and expressed her thanks and pride to all the students on their amazing achievements, “As students at Merici you are called to be young women who build futures on solid foundation that allow you to thrive in an every changing world.

On Tuesday 18 February we welcomed parents and students from Year 7 to our Aspiring to Achieve workshops. The workshops are aimed at supporting our families to a successful transition into high school at Merici. The Merici College school community welcomed parents, friends and representatives from our Colleges, Primary schools and Catholic Education at their Opening School Mass on Tuesday 18 February. The Mass was celebrated by Principal Celebrant Fr Josh Scott with Fr Emil Milat who assisted him. We also extended a special welcome to the Sisters of the Orders who were instrumental as the founding Orders of the College.
