Thank you to all our fathers and daughters who attended our Mass and Dinner last night. We would like to extend our thanks to our guest speaker Michael Ray on his truly inspirational and insightful address.
Congratulations and commendations to our Hospitality team on a five-star three-course meal prepared and served last night. We would also like to extend our thanks to Fr Emil and Veronica Harrold-Carter on the organisation of such reflective and special Mass.
It was wonderful celebrating the significance of fathers and male role models in the lives of all, in the formation of each and everyone of us and in the creation of deeply meaningful communities.
I have been talking about the concept of Ubuntu "I am because we are," in this, our year focusing on the theme of Communitas. The father figures in our lives play a hugely significant role in shaping ujs. Chelse Clinton once said that her father "always provided me a safe place to land and a hard place from which to launch." Merici women are also blessed to have men in their lives who offer safe landings and firm support, enabling them to grow, flourish, take risks and always feel safe in doing so.
