Principal’s Address – 2022 Advent Mass
Good morning everyone and how blessed are we to celebrate such a wondrous mass together. This morning we have marked the advent of Christ – we await, with hope and eagerness, His arrival as our saviour. Thank you, Fr Emil, for leading us, in community, so beautifully. Thank you to Mrs Tolfree who brought us together in community (as you have done so with great energy and creativity all year) and thank you to all members of our community who worked with her to make todays’ celebration so special.
This year our theme has been Serviam and our colour green. Most of you have managed to retain your ribbons marking our focus for 2022! In a morning rich with symbols I want to focus on what green represents: it is the colour of life, renewal, nature, and energy and is associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility, and the environment. I believe it connects to notions of service because we know that to serve is to grow, to enable ourselves and others to flourish.
Stay green, keep growing by being women and men for others and remain full of hope for a the coming of our Lord.
With all my best wishes for a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year.
Mrs Anna Masters
Principal
