In my role as College Counsellor, I am privileged to gain insight and understanding about common problems and challenges that our students face daily. Themes of loneliness, stress, anxiety, time management, friendship challenges, poor self-esteem and being highly self-critical are common matters that I hear about. Often, we can draw lines of connection between these feelings and their social media use.

Merici College congratulates our 2023 College Leaders who were commissioned into their new roles by all members of the College.

A special liturgy was held on Monday 31 October where the College Captain, College Vice Captain, House Captains, House Vice Captains and Specialist Captains, were officially recognised in their leadership roles for 2023. 

As a busy Term 3 draws to a close and the perks of having two weeks break edges closer, the Merici Community looks forward to a period of rest, recovery, and rejuvenation. It is important to take this time as an opportunity to slow down, breathe and prepare to finish the year off with some positive Merici flair.
