Mother's Day Prayer Reflection and Lunch

On Friday 6 May, our College was honoured by the presence of more than 90 mothers, grandmothers and significant others from our Merici family. The focus of the Prayer was centred around the love of a mother and ongoing nurturing that mothers provide to their children every day. Students wrote messages of thanks, appreciation and love to their mums and significant others; recognising the important role they play in their lives. After the Prayer, guests and students enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared and served by Senior Hospitality students.

Open Day 2022 Thank You!

We would like to acknowledge the wonderful contribution made by students which, in no small part, contributed to the success of our Open Day. Over 200 students participated in Open Day activities during the day and into the night. The students were all wonderful ambassadors for our school and we have received excellent feedback from all our visitors on your exceptional skills in conducting school tours, participating in Science, Mathematics, Food Technology, Art and Textiles classroom activities, presenting dance. music, vocal and drama performances..

Merici College Green Tip #11 - International Earth Day

Welcome back to Term 2!

While we were on holidays, it was International Earth Day on April 22nd. A timely moment to reflect on the business climate, the political climate, and how to act on the climate challenge.

Now is the time to preserve and protect our health, our families, our livelihoods, our food security and our biodiversity.

In honour of Earth Day 2022,  act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably).

It’s going to take all of us.

All in.

ANZAC Assembly 2022

Today, Wednesday 27 April, Merici College held a very special Anzac Assembly. The assembly provided the community with the opportunity to pause and remember the men and women who have served in Australia’s Defence Force, honouring their memory. In particular we celebrated our theme Serving our Community. It was an honour to welcome our guest speaker, Captain Kate Ryan, Royal Australian Navy. Captain Ryan entered the Royal Australian Navy via ADFA in 1990 and trained as a Maritime Warfare Officer.
