This Friday, 22 March is National Ride to School Day.
Where possible please consider riding or walking to school. To our families, please consider riding or walking to work or wherever you may be going. Walking or riding part of the way is also a good compromise!
While you are riding or walking to work or school take a few moments to consider how you might apply this on other days. Choose to ride or walk short trips, such as to your local shops, wherever possible.
We are very proud to say that our wonderful Year 8 student, Brooke Ellis competed at the 2019 ENSW State Interschools Championships, held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC).
On Sunday 10 March, Brooke and TS Sir Donn (Donny) competed in the Secondary Elementary (Years 7-12) Dressage Championship, placing 3rd in their first test (3B) and 1st in their second test (3C), giving them enough points to be sashed overall Elementary Champions.
A record number of students have signed up to be part of the Sustainability at Merici (SAM) Group. Almost ninety students signed up last Thursday at our Activities Expo, more than 10% of the student population. A reflection of the growing awareness of urgent action on climate change and environmental protection! Enjoy our photos from our Activities Expo. Well done to Gabby Cox, our Sustainability Captain for her efforts in organising the stall and speaking to our students.
Our events continue today as we celebrate IWD (International Women's Day) with our students signing up for co-curricular activities. We have over 30 clubs that the students participate in and explore new interests.

It's official: January 2019 was Australia's hottest-ever month on record going all the way back to 1910, according to the monthly climate review released by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).
We would like to congratulate our students for their wonderful dance performances on Sunday 17 February at the Multicultural Festival. It was fantastic to see so many students and community members out in the crowd cheering the girls on!
If you would the Dance Troupe to attend your event, please email [email protected] for more information.
