Merici College Green Tip #7 - Global Recycling Day Monday 18 March.

Next Monday, March 18th is Global Recycling Day.

Recycling is a key part of the circular economy, helping to protect our natural resources. 

Each year recycling saves over 700 million tonnes in CO2 emissions, and this is projected to increase to 1 billion tons by 2030. 

Recycling is a key component for action on climate change and environmental degradation.

PLEASE RECYCLE

At Merici there will be a waste audit in the New Quad at lunchtime on Monday, March 18th.  

All are welcome to participate or observe.

Merici College congratulates every student on their personal and academic achievements for 2023. These have been acknowledged at the College’s Graduation and Awards Ceremony. This year, our focus revolves around the 2024 College theme: "Spes," a powerful word that encapsulates the essence of hope. As we embark on this journey through 2024, we draw inspiration from the biblical quote, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure" (Hebrews 6:19), anchoring ourselves in the unwavering hope that propels us forward in all that we do. As a Merici Community, we celebrate the transformative power of hope, recognizing it as a guiding force that illuminates our path and unites us in our shared vision.
