Come along to the canteen with your selfie to show that you rode, walked or used other sustainable transport to get to school and you will get a hot milo and a cookie from 8:30am.

Close the Gap 2023

Today is Close the Gap Day, a time for us to reflect on the progress that has been made in healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and the work that still needs to be done.
What part can you play in closing the gap?
1. Know what the gap is and why it matters!
2. Listen to the stories of First Nations peoples who have experienced the gap.
3. Pledge to educate yourself more about the issues.
4. Tell the community about the gap and what we can do to support change.
IB MYP Personal Project Awards Ceremony

Congratulations to our Year 11 students who received awards on Friday 10 March for their Year 10 2022 IB Personal Project academic results. As part of celebrations, three awards were presented. Certificates provide to schools to recognise the achievements in the Middle Years programme on IB Australasia, a professional network that is formally recognised by the IB to provide support in our region.
Merici College Green Tip #6 - Use recycled paper products

Doing so:
- Closes the loop - that means it creates a market for the paper you put in your recycling bin.
- Saves trees
- Uses less water
- Uses less energy
- Reduces methane

This United Nations International day celebrates the world's wild animals and plants and the contribution that they make to our lives as well as to the health of the planet.
Our biodiversity restoration project here at Merici supports World Wildlife Day by restoring habitat and food sources for wildlife.
