​In Australia the threat to wildlife has been exacerbated by the flooding which has displaced animals, washed away their food sources and flooded their burrows.

March 3 was World Wildlife Day. The theme for 2022 is  “Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration”.  Over a million species are threatened with extinction. Continued loss of species, habitats and ecosystems also threatens all life on Earth, including humans.

What can you do?

To conserve Australia's most threatened and endangered species, restore their habitats and fight against extinction you can support the World Wildlife Fund Australia. 

WWF works in partnership with a variety of organisations, communities and individuals to protect endangered species.
