Merici College Green Tip #21 - Sunglasses upcycled from commercial fishing nets!

This is a great idea which removes plastic from the ocean, provides a market for that plastic so it doesn't end up in landfill, creates a valued added product from plastic waste and protects marine life. Win, win, win, win!

If you are in the market for some new sunglasses, consider these.....they are upcycled from commercial gill nets removed from the Great Barrier Reef. Developed as a partnership led by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) it is hoped that the purchase of these Reefcycle sunglasses will allow more commercial fishing nets to be upcycled into sunglasses, saving more marine life.
