On Saturday night the SAM team, in partnership with See Change, assisted with reducing waste to landfill at the Light Up Lyneham Festival.
The result?
• More than 3 wheelie bins of organics which will go to a farm at Braidwood to assist with swale creation, water flow management and filling water erosion gullies.
• 2 wheelie bins of recycling – mostly wine bottles from the mulled wine stall – which would otherwise now be in the landfill.
• 2 wheelie bins of waste – mostly single use cups and soft plastics.
• Very little contamination.
