Good news!
At the end of last term, Merici received the first and second stars in the new 5 star certification program with ACT Government Sustainable Schools.
Accreditation was achieved in the core module as well as the biodiversity module, helped along substantially by an increase in the school’s Habitat Quality Assessment Score (HQAS) resulting from the Biodiversity Restoration Project, substantially funded by the grant from the ACT Government.
Thanks to all involved, especially Sustainability Captain Rebecca Price, the Maintenance Team, and the SAM team.
The focus now turns to the remaining accreditation modules – Waste, Energy and Water.
