This week, May 27 – June 3, is National Reconciliation Week.
National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving Reconciliation in Australia.
In the context of sustainability, Indigenous Australians have been at the forefront of environmental stewardship for an estimated 65,000 years.
Their traditional ecological knowledge and sustainable land management practices are invaluable in conservation and protecting biodiversity, fire and landscape management, and climate change adaptation.
