Over the next few weeks we will be introducing you to our Studies Cos. Today we are pleased to introduce Mrs Jo Aboud, Science Coordinator.Jo has been at Merici for 13 years and in the role of Science Coordinator for 11 years. Jo also coordinates Digital and Information Technology. She has a strong passion for encouraging girls into science. She is committed to providing opportunities to the students to explore science in the real world and expand their personal knowledge. Many of our prospective Year 7 students meet Jo through our Be a Merici Girl for a Day program, as well as our Big Sister Science Days. Jo has been very active in our wider community through Merici’s volleyball and softball programs. Jo’s goal for 2022 is to encourage more senior students into the field of Earth and Environmental Science as it is a logical pathway from Sustainability for our Year 9 and 10 students. In her spare time, Jo enjoys gardening, restoring furniture and making metal garden art. Jo is the proud mother of three daughters who graduated from Merici College.
