On Monday 2 December, our Year 7 students will be hosting a Christmas Market! Beautifully handcrafted items will be made by our students to help raise money for Caritas.
Our aim is to be as sustainable as possible with our approach and to educate our students about being active and sincere stewards of our land.
Students will create these unique gifts in collaboration with the Religious Education (RE) and Design Faculties, but we need your help with some supplies please.
If you have any of the following items to donate, please ask your daughter to bring these as soon as possible OR no later than Thursday 28 November (Week 18), to the RE Staffroom:
- Unloved mugs, jar, tea cups, miniature bowls, anything ‘funky’ that we can plant succulents in!
- fresh succulent cuttings from your garden,
- Decorative items such as ribbons, old Christmas cards and gift tags, bling to help us create unique succulent plants as gift items.
Items that will be made for sale include:
- Decorative succulents (plants)
- Body scrubs
- Jewellery items, such as brooches
- scrunchies
- Dog /pet bandanas
- Hand-crafted Christmas stationary – gift tags and wrap
- Baked Christmas-themed cookies
This is always an exciting time of year for our community and the gift of giving in this end-of year activity is meaningful and rewarding for our students. We have had so much success with this in the past and we look forward to making it even better this year.
Finally, we welcome any other hand-crafted items (but NO food items please) you might like to donate to our Year 7 Charity Christmas Market.
Please drop any items in to the RE Staffroom for safe storage with your daughter, no later than Thursday 28 November.
