How does Merici College report on the IB MYP?
In Years 7 and 8 in 2019, and in Years 7-9 2020, as a candidate school we are trialling the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and will be visited in 2020 for our Authorisation visit. We use the IB Assessment Criteria and grades as well as the Australian Curriculum A-E scale in our reporting. Click here to find our MYP Assessment Policy. Please provide any feedback or questions about the policy to: [email protected].
There will be a parent workshop about assessment and reporting in the MYP early in Term 1 2020. More information will be sent out next year.
Merici College is a candidate school* for the Middle Years Programme and an authorised school for the Diploma Programme. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.
* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
