#MericiMoment Wall of Words – Vicky Doykas (Class of 1989)

I fondly remember the friendships I made and had with my fellow classmates, and the wonderful teachers that inspired me and fostered my desire to learn.

My word is CONNECTIONS. I fondly remember the friendships I made and had with my fellow classmates, and the wonderful teachers that inspired me and fostered my desire to learn.

After graduating from from Merici College, I was accepted to study a Bachelor of Commerce at the ANU. Once my degree was conferred, I worked in the IT industry that saw me move to Adelaide for 12 months. On my return to Canberra, I worked for KFPW as an Assistant Accountant for close to two years before making a move into the public sector. I have been working for the Commonwealth Government for over 20 years and am now a senior public servant. I have also studied for a post graduate qualification in HR Management at the University of Canberra.
