Vinnies Can Line

All students are asked to bring in a can of tinned food to donate to St Vincent de Paul and Oz Harvest. The House that can make the longest line of canned food this year will receive points for the House Cup.

World Refugee Day

On Monday June 5, our Merici community will be acknowledging World Refugee Day. On that day, our students are encouraged to think about the types of food that Refugees receive in Refugee Camps. To show solidarity, students are requested to please purchase a rice and beans dish from the canteen. The proceeds of which, will go towards supporting girls in Afghanistan to enter the world Science Olympiad. Head on up to the CRLC during lunch to hear from Zaki Hakiri, a refugee, activist and member of Amnesty International present his perspectives on the refugee experience.

Year 11 and 12 BSSS Exams

Year 11 and 12 BSSS students will sit their end of Semester 1 Exams on Friday 9 June and between Tuesday 13 June to Friday 16 June in the College Auditorium. Students will be emailed their individual timetable shortly. Students are expected to attend all exams. They are not required to be at school outside of their exams.

No BSSS classes will run during this week. If students are unable to attend exams, medical certificates are required to cover any absences to avoid academic penalties.

St Edmund’s College Movie Night and Disco

Year 11 and 12 students from St Edmund’s College, Merici College and St Clare’s College are invited to a showing of ‘10 Things I Hate About You’ and social disco after the movie.

School Photo Day

School Photo Day (Friday 2 June), Catchup Day (Tuesday 6 June)

School Photo Day will be held on Friday 2 June for all students and staff. A catchup day will be held on Tuesday 6 June for any student or staff member that is absent on Friday 2 June. Year 12 students will be having their formal group photo on Friday 2 June in Period 3.
