Please join us at our Creative and Performing Arts Showcase for Semester 1. The Showcase will commence at 5pm on Wednesday 19 June for refreshments and to view the outstanding work of our Photography, Visual Arts, Media, Design & Graphics and Textiles students, as well as exceptional performances of Dance, Music, Vocal and Drama students. The formal opening will commence at 6pm and conclude at 8pm.
Year 11 and 12 BSSS students will sit their end of Semester 1 Exams on Friday 7 June and between Tuesday 11 June to Friday 14 June in the College Auditorium. Students have been emailed their individual timetables. Students are expected to attend all exams. They are not required to be at school outside of their exams.
No BSSS classes will run during this week. If students are unable to attend exams, medical certificates are required to cover any absences to avoid academic penalties.
The Merici College P&F Committee are excited to share an evening of trivia with you to be held on Thursday 5 September. A fun night of trivia! Great prizes, silent auction and raffles!
Now More Than Ever #NRW2024
May 27th marks the beginning of Reconciliation Week. The Narragunnawali group have organised some activities for the week and encourage students to take part in them to learn more about the importance of the week and what the community can do to foster Reconciliation.
Tuesday 28 May: Reconciliation Action Plan meeting open to all students in the CRLC at lunch time. Discuss what actions we can take at the school to learn about First Nations histories and cultures. Snacks provided!

We would especially like to thank Group Captain April-Leigh Rose for speaking to our community today. Group Captain April Rose became the Registrar of Military Justice (RMJ) on 1st November 2021. She joined the Royal Australian Air Force in July 2002 after several years in private practice and at the Legal Aid Commission of Tasmania. She is an Arts, Law graduate of the University of Tasmania, and holds a Masters of Military Law (with merit) from the ANU.

Merici College congratulates our 2024 College Leaders who were commissioned into their new roles by all members of the College.
A special commissioning ceremony was held on Thursday 21 September where the College Captain, College Vice Captain, House Captains, House Vice Captains and Specialist Captains, were officially recognised in their leadership roles for 2024.
Congratulations to all the cast and crew on an extraordinary musical! A very big thank you to all our talented students who were exceptional in their performances. What a wonderful showcase of the talents of our young women and example of the strength of the performing arts at Merici College.

Sincere thanks to all our community for supporting our Gift of Life Walk this morning. We would like to extend our thanks to Josh and Ned and the Canberra FM crew for broadcasting live from Merici this morning and helping us raise awareness about organ and tissue donation.
