What do you do when you have leftover food?
According to foodbank.org.au:
In Australia, 7.6 million tonnes of food is wasted every year.
While 70% of this food is still perfectly edible, 1 in 6 Australian adults haven’t had enough to eat in the last year.
On top of this, 1.2 million children have gone hungry during the same period.
So what should you do with leftover food?
Established in 1959, Merici College educates young women from Years 7–12 Merici is a Catholic College for young women in Years 7 to 12, which was established in 1959. We are an authorised IB World School for the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. March 3 is World Wildlife Day.
This United Nations International day celebrates the world's wild animals and plants and the contribution that they make to our lives as well as to the health of the planet.
Our biodiversity restoration project here at Merici supports World Wildlife Day by restoring habitat and food sources for wildlife.

Congratulations to all our students who entered their work for displays at the Canberra Show. All the entries were exceptional and we thank you for your dedication to your studies of Textiles and Fashion at Merici College. We would also like to thank over 40 students who volunteered to help at the Show, through the exceptional organisation and support of Maria Georgiadis, Year 12 students. All our students were wonderful ambassadors for Merici College and eagerly supporting and assisted at stalls.

Today we held our Co-curricular Activities Expo with students signing up for different clubs, with over 30 groups to choose from! Merici has a wealth of cocurricular subjects and activities to compliment our fundamental teaching subjects. We believe it's vital that every Merici girl gets the opportunity to explore their passion, be creative and try something new!
