Last year the ABC’s three-part mini series ‘WAR ON WASTE’ explored Australia’s waste problem. Tomorrow, Tuesday 24 July at 8.30pm, in the second series, Craig Reucassel investigates our reliance on single-use plastic items like plastic bottles and straws that damage our waterways and marine life.
Proposed ACTION School Bus Network - Have Your Say!

The school services planned as part of this new network have been designed based on a new School Bus Policy. This draft policy relates to the provision of school bus services as part of Canberra’s broader public transport network, view the ACT Government draft School Bus Policy here.

Merici College Vinnies Sleepout
Submitted by mericiadmin on June 29, 2018 - 12:54pmCanberra’s cold temperatures did not favour Merici College Year 10, 11 and 12 students and teachers who rose to the challenge on Thursday 28 June for the annual Student Vinnies Sleepout.
The group slept outdoors in the New Quad to raise funds for Canberra’s homeless with the aim of promoting awareness within our Merici community of the issue of homelessness and for the students to experience a small part of the reality of homelessness.

Seiwa House Day
Seiwa House celebrated their inaugural ‘House Day’ on Monday 25 June. This was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge, observe and explore the Order of the Good Samaritan Nuns on which Seiwa House is founded. Students gathered together in the PC lesson Period 4 for a special assembly to reflect on the history of Seiwa House, followed by a celebration cake in the Indigenous Garden. Seiwa students also wore blue accessories on the day.
