On the eve of our 2020 Swimming Carnival, our #MericiMoment revisits carnivals from the past.
Today our school community farewelled Year 12 students in respective House groups. Always wishing our Year 12 graduates a wonderful life ahead!
On Friday 31 May, College staff and students celebrated the Feast Day of Saint Angela Merici. A special College community Mass was also held, celebrated by Fr Emil Milat and Fr Josh Scott. As this year marks 60 years since the beginning of the College, the Mass reflected on the College’s past, present and future journey from Canberra Catholic Girls’ High School in 1959, to Merici College in 2019 and beyond, with a special focus on the six Houses and the Founding Orders.
We would like to thank our Merici community for coming along to our Community BBQ on Thursday 21 March. The BBQ was a great opportunity for our whole community to gather, parents to meet PC Teachers and for us to welcome new families to the College. Our six individual Houses were vibrant in their presence with House Coordinators, Pastoral Care Teachers and Captains meeting and greeting new families and welcoming them to our Merici family.
Congratulations to our Year 10 students who celebrated their academic achievements and the end of Year 10 on Thursday 6 December at a special ceremony. As our Year 10 students prepare to embark on their next stage of their educational journey, the College would like to thank them, recognising their sucesses, both academically and more broadly, their contributions to many aspects of the life and community of Merici College.
We would also like to congratulate the following students who received scholarships and special awards:
Caltex All-Rounder Award – Imogene Blake
Congratulations to our Year 12 students on their graduation and academic achievements. We would like to thank the students for their valuable contribution to the life of Merici College and we pray that God richly blesses them as you continue your journey through life.
