Dance Troupe performance at St Andrew's Aged Care

Our Dance Troupe performed an hour long concert for the residents at St. Andrews Village in Hughes on Saturday, 31 August. The girls were absolutely fantastic and we have already been asked back to perform again nearer Christmas! The residents were clapping and tapping their feet and were very appreciative.

We would like to thank our dancers for their ongoing commitment to entertaining our community and attending community events.

Merici Representation at the Legislative Assembly Parliamentary Debates

On Friday 30 August, it was the turn of Year 9 and 10 students to represent Merici at the Legislative Assembly Parliamentary debates.

For the record, the student politicians decided by vote:

Student Achievement - Taylah Ellems Australian School Sports Golf Championships

Last week Taylah Ellems (Year 11) went to Mandurah in Western Australia to represent Merici College and the ACT in the Australian School Sports Golf Championship.

As the girl's Captain, Taylah shot 77 and 78 in stoke and played number 1 in match play. Taylah won 3 out of 5 matches, winning  3/2 against WA, 3/2 against QLD and 4/3 against SA which are some of the strongest teams with in Australia.

Her strong performance saw her rewarded in making the School Girls All Australian Team for 2019.

Congratulations Taylah!
