Merici College Green Tip #10 - Thursday April 22 is International Mother Earth Day.

This is different to World Environment Day held in June and recognises that Earth and its ecosystems are our home,

and it is essential to achieve harmony with biodiversity, animals and the Earth's living, life supporting systems.

From the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres:

When Mother Earth sends us a message …

Mother Earth is clearly urging a call to action. Nature is suffering. Oceans filling with plastic and turning more acidic.

Student Achievement - Georgia Willshire

Over the last 12 months Merici College Georgia Willshire (Year 9 SE1) has been dancing up a storm attending classes locally in person and virtually all around the world. Georgia dances at Kim Harvey School of Dance in Dickson each week and is currently a member of Australian Ballet Schools exclusive Invitee Program, as well as Queensland Ballet Schools Guest Associate Program

Easter Liturgy

Today the Merici College community reflected on the significance of Easter by exploring the Stations of the Cross and other important aspects of Holy Week in the Easter Liturgy. The liturgy was completely student-focussed with approximately 50 students leading all elements. it was a beautiful liturgy and we would like to thank all our students for their reverence and reflection.

On behalf of the staff at Merici College, I wish our community a very Holy and Blessed Easter.
