FundRaise for Merici Artworks

As part of our Strategic Plan, Merici is committed to beautifying our school grounds and investing in artworks that celebrate the history and traditions of our Founders. Our 60th Anniversary in 2019 provides the College with the opportunity to fulfil this Strategic Plan goal and we would greatly appreciate support from our community, current, past and prospective families, to contribute towards the payment of a wooden-carved statue of St Angela Merici, as well as the installation of other artworks.

Commissioning Ceremony

Congratulations to our 2019 College Leaders who were commissioned into their new roles by all members of the College.

A special liturgy was held on Monday 22 October where the College Captain and Vice Captain, House Captain and Vice Captains, Specialist Captains, the Narragunnawali Captain and the Transition Captain were officially recognised in their leadership roles for 2019.

The Summer Program will provide Eleanor with useful skills for her final years at Merici College and allow her to explore options for university and careers.

It is an opportunity for Eleanor to investigate a subject area of her choice which include:

October is Mental Health Month

Since starting my position at Merici College I have endeavoured to be a strong advocate and spokesperson for the mental health and wellbeing of young people.

October is the perfect time to raise aware of mental illness, reduce the stigma of people living with or caring for people with mental illness and promote positive strategies and activities, along with agencies that are there to help mental health and wellbeing in our community.
