Merici College congratulates Dr Ann Cleary on her appointment as Assistant Principal at St John Paul II College commencing 2019. The annual Merici College Sports Awards presentation night was held on Thursday 1 November. Throughout 2018 many of our students have taken up sporting opportunities offered at Merici. Merici competes in up to 50 interschool events throughout the year with students displaying their talents in several of these of sports. We also have several co-curricular sporting teams, Netball, Basketball, Volleyball, AFL, Hockey, Futsal and Snow Sports that compete in ACT and NSW weekend competitions.

We would like to thank our Dance Troupe students for performing at the Ainslie School Fete on Saturday 3 November. Many thanks to Ainslie School Fete organisers for inviting the girls to perform again this year.
Lots of wonderful activities organised for our Year 7 2019 students; badge making, photo naming, treasure huhnts, healthy activity, bike-riding, House friendship activities and lots more. We hope the students have enjoyed their day and we look forward to seeing them at Merici next year!

Diploma Programme (DP)
September was a key month in our journey towards the International Baccalaureate DP authorisation. We had our IB Consultant from New Zealand visit to check our progress toward compliance with IB standards and processes.
