Every year you have heard the words of our mission statement: Merici College challenges you to love life, have hope, be faithful and to build futures more wondrous than you dare to dream.
REFLECTIVE
We thoughtfully consider the world and our own ideas and experience. We work to understand our strengths and weaknesses in order to support our learning and personal development.
Merici College takes up Ross Fox, Catholic Education Director's challenge and will raise awareness for DIPG and participate in the #lemonfacechallenge set by our bravest five-year-old, Annabelle Potts this Friday with students and staff wearing yellow and eating lemons!
The Year 8 Digital Technology Forum is a week long program which aims to develop the students skills in Information Technology. The goal for the week is for students to produce a product they have developed using coding they have learnt about during the week. As part of this week, the students will be taking part in the International Hour of Code. The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science.
RECYCLING REMINDER
As the school term comes to an end and you start clearing out your locker and desks, keep the following in mind!
Please remember to place items in the correct bins. All plastic bottles must be empty; they can not be recycled if they contain liquid! Please put paper in the blue paper recycling bins.
The image posted demonstrates where we could make improvements.
