Dear All Merici College Staff
On behalf of the myself and Merici College Board, we would like to express the deepest gratitude to our teachers and support staff who are collectively shaping and nurturing the next generation of our society. The guidance that you provide with professionalism, thoughtfulness and care is greatly appreciated. We know being a teacher is much more than simply a job. It is all consuming and requires dedication and a strong spirit. The rewards for your effort are sometimes immediate, but the positive impact of your shepherding of students along the long and windy road ahead of them is a lasting legacy to be proud of.
This year has presented significant challenges and disruptions, mostly stemming from the coronavirus pandemic. Lives and aspects of the way we live will change forever. We are so proud of the way that each of you rose to the challenge and adapted to new ways of teaching and new ways for students to learn. You showed dedication, compassion, patience, resilience and a commitment to teaching. Your response to the uncertainty and change has in itself provided an invaluable teaching experience to our students and daughters. They will continue to thrive under your guidance.
