Congratulations to Charlotte Ryan, Emma Kuchel, Ella Horn, Niahm Blake and Pippa Gray.
We congratulate a number of girls from Merici who competed (rowing for Capital Lakes) at the rowing NSW Sprint Championship on Sunday, 8 December. The Merici girls who competed were: Charlotte Ryan, Emma Kuchel, Ella Horn, Niahm Blake and Pippa Gray.
The girls have been training very hard and all performed very well at the Regatta.
First, second or third place results were:
- 3rd women's U19 double scull (Ryan and Gray)
- 3rd women's U16 single scull (Blake)
- 2nd women's u19/21 quad scull (Horn, Kuchel, Ryan ,Gray)
- 2nd women's U16 double scull (Blake and Kuchel)
- 1st women's U16 coxed quad scull (Blake, Kuchel, Horn, Gray, coxed Imogen Blake)
In addition, Charlotte Ryan rowed extremely well to come 4th in the women's U19 single scull which is a very fine achievement.
