Congratulations to Georgia Tonkin, Year 12, who has been selected as part of the national team competing in the International Earth and Environmental Science Olympiad.

The International Olympics of Earth Sciences (IESO) is an annual competition for secondary school children (participant’s should not have been born before 1st July 2003) from around the world. Students test their skills in all major areas of Earth Sciences, including geology, geophysics, meteorology, oceanography, terrestrial astronomy, and environmental science.

The main purpose of the IESO is to encourage student and public interest in Earth Sciences, but also to promote friendly relations between young students from different countries and international cooperation in the exchange of ideas and materials on Earth Sciences. and their teaching.

We wish Georgia and all the team all the best as they compete.
