My chosen word is LEADERSHIP.
Merici prepared me and encouraged me to grow as a leader while at College but also for the future. I was the Tullow House Captain in 2007, where we were the champions of that year. I think there were a few key things that made that happen and it's such a special time to reflect on.
After leaving school I briefly worked in the private sector. I was second in charge of a dance school for 6 years and partly studied nursing then psychology before joining the Commonwealth Government. I am celebrating over 10 years in government and have been promoted to the Executive leadership level. I have completed a Graduate Certificate in Business and looking to continue study with a Masters in Business in the future. After leaving school, I also volunteered at the RSPCA for 6 years and continue to support animal welfare. I also recently became a DVCS supporter after working on a project related to supporting Centrelink customers affected by domestic violence.
