Merici Principal receives Fellowship of ACT Australian Council of Educational Leadership

Loretta Wholley, Principal and Fellow of ACT Australian Council of Education Leadership

Congratulations to our Principal, Loretta Wholley, who has been made a Fellow of ACT Australian Council of Educational Leadership (ACEL).

Loretta has been Principal at Merici College for the last five years. In that time, she has shown exemplary leadership in promoting girls' education and introduced strategies to highlight girls' education. Loretta's stamina has enabled her to share her wealth and depth of experience from a different educational jurisdiction. Coming from Western Australia, Loretta has been prepared to ask the hard questions and to work collaboratively to achieve better educational outcomes for students across the ACT. Loretta's perservance has built a culture at Merici College of professional conversations and classroom observations and has ensured these experiences are an integral part of the journey towards school improvement. As the ACT Director of Catholic Secondary Principals' Assocation, Loretta has demonstrated her commitment to Catholic Secondary Education schools throughout Australia.
