Liza has recently taken up the position of Head of Senior School for Term 4. She has been a Merici College staff member for 10 years, 9 of which she has served as Penola House Coordinator. She also filled the position of Staff Representative on the Merici College Board for 6 years.
Liza completed her initial teacher training at what is now QUT in Brisbane and she also holds a Graduate Diploma in Leadership (ACU) and a Master of Education, Guidance and Counselling (USQ).
A former Officer in the Army Reserve, Liza teaches Dance and History and her interests include foreign films, playing soccer and military history. Since she has been at Merici, Liza has been fortunate to participate, with students, in one trip to India and 3 Dance/Performing Arts Tours to the USA. She is married with 3 sons and although she loves living in Canberra, she is a proud Queenslander at heart. In Week 3 of this term, Liza will be on leave to play soccer at the Australian Masters Games, in Tasmania.
