Inspirational STEM event "I Want To Be Her When I Grow Up"

L-R: Students Jia Li Norris, Anna Wearden and Mishal Kamran at the STEM event "I Want To Be Her When I Grow Up"

Dr Kathryn White, Science Teacher, accompanied students Anna Wearden, Mishal Kamran and Jia Li Norris to the STEM event "I Want To Be Her When I Grow Up" organised by KPMG and hosted by St Clare's College.

"The STEM event at St. Clare's presented us with inspirational women who came from various disciplines and have taken up leading roles within their STEM fields. The Q and A session revolved around their experiences, challenges and projects. As students who are interested in STEM, we had a wonderful time being able to meet and talk with these women. The program also included some activities where our problem solving skills and creativity was put to the test in building paper planes and towers of pasta! We also had a chance to meet with other like-minded students from other schools. I really enjoyed this event and thank Dr White, Merici and St. Clare's for this wonderful experience."  Jia Li Norris
