Father/Daughter Mass and Dinner

The evening commenced with a very special Mass celebrated by Father Bernie Patterson and followed with a wonderful meal prepared by our Senior Hospitality students.

We would like to thank our fathers and daughters for attending our special evening on Friday 30 September. The evening commenced with a very special Mass celebrated by Father Bernie Patterson and followed with a wonderful meal prepared by our Senior Hospitality students. We also welcomed Mrs Patricia Falcetta from Social Living solutions and is the Family Joy Expert.  She supports families living with the challenges of Autism and other neurodiverse conditions move away from the stress, overwhelm, anxiety and worry that they so often feel to relief, happiness, peace and family Joy.  Patricia works with children one on one, either in their homes or at school supporting them with different challenges they may be experiencing.  She also does a lot of advocacy and support work for parents as well as working with the whole family if they request it. Patricia is also a positive menstrual health educator with a passion for supporting girls into becoming confident, resilient young women who love the skin they’re in and feel comfortable with the changes in their bodies and their cycles. Patricia runs positive menstrual health education workshops and workshops for fathers as well called Fathers Celebrating Daughters. She is a Global Goodwill Ambassador.and has received an award as recognition for the volunteer work she does’ participating in various committees and running workshops for the community. Patricia graduated from Merici college in 1987 and was honoured to be back at Merici to share with you how pivotal fathers are in their daughters lives.
