Caitlin Manning Music Performance

Congratulations to Caitlin Manning on her solo piano performance at the Albert Hall "Rising Stars' Concert.

We would like to congratulate Caitlin Manning (Year 12 student) who performed solo piano at the Albert Hall on Thursday 9 March in the Rising Stars concert, featuring upcoming performers studying music at the ANU school of Music.

Caitlin has been playing piano since the age of 7. Her first teacher was Rose Holcombe. She started learning the flute around the age of 9 and learnt this through her primary school Covenant College. She is currently focusing her studies on piano, previously she was learning the flute from Teresa Rabe. She is studying piano under Katherine Day at the ANU. Caitlin is a part of H-Course Colleges Program for music where she is studying to gain entrance into the Bachelor Degree for Music. This is counted towards her Tertiary certificate. She is learning many things from this program and feels that she is growing as a musician because of this.Caitlin plans to stay in the music industry for my future endeavours though she is still unsure of what awaits her future. Caitlin is interested in teaching privately, learning in how to tune a piano and even thinking about becoming a music lecturer.
