Advent Liturgies

On Friday 3 December, Year 7, 8 and 9 students attended Advent Liturgies focussing on this year's College theme Dare to Dream with its overarching symbol of the STAR. Historically, the stars were used as maps by peoples moving from place to place.

St Angela Merici, herself, was

  • a star-gazer,
  • a dreamer,
  • a seeker and
  • a Pilgrim Traveller.

Today St Angela Merici is our star, guiding us along our journey as students at Merici College.

Year 10 Advent Mass and Awards Ceremony

In a year where we have been encouraged to Dare to Dream, it is wise to explore how this season of Advent helps us to do so. I feel that the wonderful task of Advent is to awaken us all to memories of goodness and thus open the door of hope. If you are hope-filled you have the courage to dream, to be future-focused, to aspire to better things and to look forward to a glorious future filled with love, joy and the grace of God.

Co-curricular Sports Awards 2021

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our convenors, managers, coaches and parents for the effort that you have put into creating valuable opportunities for our students to participate in the Merici Co-curricular Sporting program. The contributions of our volunteers and their service as coaches and managers are at the heart of the school’s sporting program. Without their support, co-curricular sport would not exist.
