The Year in Inclusive Education

2020 has been a year of consolidation for Inclusive Education at Merici College. With the increase of professionals to our team we have seen The Hub, our central location, become a consistent hive of activity for students from across all year groups needing additional support. This space houses many varying aspects of improving learning for students.

2020 BSSS Recognition of Excellence Ceremony

We congratulate the following students who received an award at the 2020 BSSS Recognition of Excellence Ceremony today. The BSSS Recognition of Excellence Ceremony is a prestigious award ceremony in December by the BSSS. Awards are given in five categories: Community Services, Vocational Studies, Academic Excellence, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students and Academic Achievement. We congratulate:

Year 7 Marketplace Fundraiser for St Vinnies Christmas Appeal

Our Year 7 Religious Education classes held a Christmas marketplace fundraiser for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. During Period 2 and recess the students sold hand-made craft items and to raise money for St Vinnies. We would like to congratulate the students on the exceptional efforts this year.

International Day with Cultural Infusion

Our students thoroughly enjoyed a cultural infusion today at our International Day with a wide range of different activities and performances which included a Chinese Lion Dance, Bollywood Infusion, Viva Mexico musical performance, Indigenous Infusion with Larry Brandy, Dance Troupe performances, Merici's Cold Fusion staff band performance, a gelato stall, a Pain au Chocolate stall, a multicultural menu served in the canteen and an Egyptian Belly dance performance. We would like to thank all our performers and stall holders for making this day such a great success!
